Now this is a story all about how my life got flip turned upside down...and other Fresh Prince lyrics. Ok, so that's not true. See what had happened was, I started a blog, and this is it. Welcome!
I live in Manhattan and love to love to love the restaurants here. Sure, I don't necessarily care for every last one of them, but I'm here to write about the ones that I do. I seem to have become the go-to girl when my friends need restaurant recommendations, so I figured I could share my thoughts with you too, dear reader. I am not claiming to be a food critic, and I do not intend to bash any establishments. We are going to talk about dining experiences, and we are hopefully going to have a good time.
Some points of note before we get started:

Some points of note before we get started:
- I am allergic to citrus, so I can't try every dish a restaurant has to offer. I would say, however, I am an adventurous eater. Sure, I love the basics too (hello, Shack Burger and strawberry milkshake), but homegirl's not afraid of sea urchin, chicken liver pate, octopus, and the like.
- I named this blog Fresh Pepper because it seemed like such a restauranty notion to me. (Yes, restauranty. These things may happen from time to time.) Nobody hovers over my shoulder with a grinder the size of a child's leg while asking if I would like fresh pepper at home. At a restaurant? Totally normal.
- I grew up outside NYC but have lived in it for years now. I have therefore gone to some restaurants more than others, and I clearly have not been to them all. I can therefore only speak to what I know and recognize that I don't know everything.
